FACILITATION

As a facilitator , Alice finds great joy in working directly with people, supporting their creativity, and helping to produce meaningful, inclusive projects. She brings a unique perspective, driven by a passion for increasing participation in the arts and expanding what "art" can be, making it accessible to all. Alice firmly believes that the arts, in its broadest sense, offers a powerful way to connect deeply with others, build community, and encourage new ways of thinking—experiences that everyone should have the opportunity to engage with.

As a trauma-informed practitioner,  Alice is trained in mental health first aid, first aid, and neurodiversity. Additionally, she has recently completed training in Creative Health through the National Theatre, which has deepened her understanding of the connection between art and wellbeing. Alice believes that the arts create a space for exploration, play, and discovery—processes that can have profound effects on individuals and communities, supporting our overall wellbeing and fostering connection.

Art In Bloom

Art in Bloom Is an outdoors art based project set up by Lucy and Alice as part of the Community Roots Learning Programme at the Windmill Community Gardens. Explore the environment, unleash your creativity through a series of art-based activities using natural materials. Connect with friends and nature. Explore the gardens through play and art-making. Dive into a world of creativity. We believe that combining the outdoors with creative processes can help people immerse themselves and escape from everyday anxieties. Outdoor settings are the most inspiring classrooms, providing a place for inspiration, a host for conversation and a bank of natural resources for workshops.

The art sessions were brilliant, there were so many interesting and thought-provoking creative projects on offer.”

Reclaim the Sea

Alice will soon take on the role of co-lead for facilitating "Reclaim the Sea" sessions in Kent, in collaboration with KRAN. Reclaim the Sea offers programs that equip individuals with the skills and confidence to reclaim the sea as a safe space, through activities such as swimming, surfing, and paddle boarding lessons.

Arts Education Exchange

As a Youth Engagement Producer, Alice has worked with young people focusing on access, to re-engage young people who have often been marginalised and failed by multiple systems, to build trust and support them into regular sessions. This role helps to bridge the gap between young people and opportunities for growth and empowerment. This is a multifaceted position, which entails the facilitation of various sessions, including those tailored for UASC and Arts Education Exchange's Youth Board; whilst also leading outreach initiatives to expand reach and networks.

Thank you for always loving us, taking care of us and helping us. We will forever remember this feeling.

Creative Lab focuses on promoting self-directed learning and creative exploration in the aim to help young people develop the confidence and skills to go back to formal education, or find the right pathway for them. This role has allowed her to foster a supportive and inclusive environment which has encouraged personal agency, creativity, and self-expression among participants.
